IFP # 86 : Cost Engineer II (Electrical)
QUALIFICATION & DESCRIPTION:
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or appropriate equivalent.
Must have experience Cost Engineering and Capital Budgeting processes including cost control, monitoring and reporting costs and progress of transmission projects under development and/or implementation.
Must have experience in preparing accountability reports and variance analysis of actual expenditure, slippage in project schedule and budget allocation against approved plan of transmission projects under execution.
Experienced in reviewing and evaluating construction contract documents, bid quotations, change order proposals, contractor’s invoices and project milestone schedules.
Able to prepare commitment and expenditure cash flow forecast and conducts variance analysis of the actual vs. planned.
Must have prior experience in the preparation/imitation of capital funding appropriation and budget change requests for transmission capital projects.
Experienced in reviewing construction progress of transmission projects for certification of actual accomplishments in line with Contractor’s progress billing.
Experience in the development of various type of reporting system for project monitoring and tracking system.
Experience in the development of system procedures, work methods and practices and operational instructions.
Must be proficient in the development of work processes and flow charts and simplification of existing procedures.
Must be experienced in the use of MS Windows, MS Office, ABC Flow Chart and Forms Development software.
Must be experienced in technical writing.
Must be excellent in both oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic. (Communication and presentation skills in Arabic are essential).
Previous work experience associated with engineering and project construction management is desirable.
IFP # 91/1 : Senior Engineer I (Electrical)
QUALIFICATION & DESCRIPTION
B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experienced in power utility company with emphasis on design of various high voltage/outdoor/indoor conventional and indoor SF6 gas insulated substation projects ranging from 13.8 kV up to 132kV.
Well versed in preparation of Scope of Work and Technical Specifications (SOW/TS) for lump sum turnkey (LSTK) substation project contracts.
Extensive experience in development of Scope of Work, bidding process and procurement.
Proficiency in review of projects’ design drawings among other engineering and design related aspects.
Knowledge of updated application design software.
Candidate should have a thorough knowledge in SEC specifications/standards and international standards (ANSI, IEEE, IEC, etc.) for major electrical equipment.
PC skills in related software.
Previous experience in detailed financial and electronic models for evaluating capital projects and options.
Analytical skills.
IFP # 91/2. Engineer I (Civil/Structural)
QUALIFICATION & DESCRIPTION
B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or appropriate equivalent.
Experienced in power utility company with emphasis on design of various high voltage 132kV overhead transmission lines complete with route selection, structure spotting and structure selection.
Must be familiar with transmission line structures (wood and steel) and their foundation details. Familiarity with various SEDC standards/specifications and international standards, e.g. ACI, ASCE, AISC, IEEE is a must.
Must have structural background to design HV/EHV substation structure details and shall be able to perform design calculations for the structures and their foundations.
Must have the capability to prepare SOW/TS for in-house as well as lump sum turnkey (LSTK) transmission line projects.
Extensive experience in development of Scope of Work, bidding process and procurement.
Proficiency in review of projects’ design drawings among other engineering and design related aspects.
Knowledgeable of updated applicable design software program’s for analysis & design of steel structure supports (such as Power Line Systems, PLS full package).
