ORA-Information Technology Est. is a leading distributor in Saudi Arabia and Gulf for authentication solutions based on Biometric, PKI and smart card technologies. With the industry's most comprehensive portfolio of readers and software, Labcal & ORA-IT offers trusted and highly secure digital identity systems for a wide range of applications such as : e-Commerce, B2B / B2C Transaction, Web Access, Secure e-Mail Internet, Network & Workstation Logon, Access Control and ID Cards.

The solution is to combine PKI, smart card and Biometric Technologies with Labcal's SmartPrint authentication systems, allowing a user's  fingerprint characteristics to be compressed, encrypted and stored for reference on a secure token (smart card) during a registration process. Thereafter, the  system can identify users by sensing their live fingerprints and comparing them with the biometric references stored on their tokens. Furthermore, PKI key pairs  can be generated on the card itself, ensuring that the private signing key will  never leave the secure token. This feature lays the groundwork for the non-repudiation security requirements of public key infrastructures. Since the  user's fingerprints are stored on their tokens (in their possession at all  times), the authentication process is faster and more robust, and privacy  concerns are no longer an issue since the system is not dependent on a centralized database.

The Enroller is a biometric/smart card unit that is used by a central authority to enroll its users in an authentication system by means of  the individual's fingerprints. The enroller keys a smart card to each individual's minutiae, thereby creating a highly secure personal data-storage  device that can only be unlocked by the user's fingerprints. SmartPrint  verifies identification not with a password - "something you know" - but with your fingerprints - "something you ARE."

The SmartPrint Mobile Checker is a wireless, hand-held unit used  to read data from contactless, secure personal identification (smart) cards. The  Checker can read an individual's fingerprint and compare it to a compressed digital biometric profile stored on their card. The Checker then displays its  data (the owner's name, identification number, and/or any other records) on its  LCD display for a highly secure identification.

The SmartPrint Mountie is a wall mounted fingerprint and smart  card reader for physical access control. To regulate access, this intuitive  verification device senses your finger and compares the reading to a compressed version of your fingerprint stored on a smart card (MIFARE).

The mounti can communicate with a variety of third-party central management systems by supporting RS-485, serial (RS-232), and Wiegand interfaces (HID, Kantech, IBS, etc.). Keep your existing system! This smart ID authentication device can seamlessly integrate your existing access control system. Actually, you can physically remove any proximity reader installed and replace it with the SmartPrint Mountie without your system ever noticing the change.

Operating in standalone, the fingerprint reference can be stored on the card only, for privacy concerns, but it can also be stored on a central database or even in the reader's own memory. Use our combo cards (MIFARE / Proximity / megnetic strip/ contact chip) for a "Single-Authentication" to any Labcal and third party readers. Also for Logon, Web Access, VPN and Crypto applications.

The SmartPrint TruBlue is a combined fingerprint biometric and  smart card authentication device that allows for 3-factor user-authentication to your OS, Applications or PKI. Elevate your user authentication security policy without asking for long, complicated passwords. Simplify multi user-profile management with one single card. Spend more time working on what counts and less time supporting end users with password problems!

The TruBlue also eases PKI user-profile management thus eliminating the need for duplicating the profiles throughout the workstations of a network. The user profile is unique and safely preserved on the token. For increased confidentiality, the user may protect the content of his smart card with an optional pin. That enables three-factor authentication. Then, to get authentified, the user must supply something he owns (token), something he is (Biometric) and something he knows (Pin)!
